Been having a rough couple of months…hence the disappearance. I tried to blog a couple of times, but I just couldn’t get anything out. At that point I figured it was better to not say anything than to force it…. see me and my split infinitive? “…to not say…” instead of “…not to say…” I know I’m doing it, but I think it sounds better….
Off on a tangent. As usual. Everything lately in my head is just a bunch of random things. I hop from one topic to the next and tend not to go back and finish what I was first thinking of. My brain has been in some sort of crazy whirlwind lately, and of course has been driving me nuts. The past couple of days have gotten a bit better; hopefully that’ll continue.
I randomly saw Duran Duran perform today. Went to a taping of Craig Fergson cuz I wanted to see Harry Connick Jr. I was actually afraid he wasn’t going to be on with how they set up all the filming. The very first thing was Duran Duran to be shown at a later date, and then it only showed two guests for tonight’s show. Thankfully at the end they recorded Harry which is going to air tomorrow I think. It was like seeing two shows in one, so that was cool…especially the random Duran Duran thing.
I’ve been trying to go out and do things over this summer. I was successful, as can be seen by the tan in the shape of sandals on my feet. I just feel like I keep trying to pile on distractions though. So I’d be ok and in the moment then, but rather discontent without any outside stimulation. I think that’s passing a little bit.
Somehow my break is already over and I go back to work/school on Thursday. I really don’t know how I’m going to focus. Although it seems to be getting a bit better, I still feel scatterbrained. Something is going to have to change for me to get through this crap.

Random Duran Duran is always a good thing.
Distractions are a large part of why I don't do much in the way of my growing list of personal projects these days… especially so in the last 20 months. I blame my day job, but in the end, I have control over how I spend my time. YouTube, web news pages, music, sunshine, drinking… lots of fun stuff, but I want to do more.
Since I follow you on twitter, I see your visits to D-Land and the Weezer shows you've been to this summer. Hope your return to work/school this week won't bring too much crapola.

My last trip to D-land was in Oct of last year and while it had some drama that I could have done without, it was pretty fun. I want to go back again soon now that Star Tours is open again with the new changes.
